HUMAK is a University of Applied Sciences that is an expert and a leading educator in the humanities and pedagogy as well as cultural management in the whole of Finland. HUMAK has three faculties:

Courses in English, Academic Year 2009 - 2010

During the Academic Year 2009 - 2010 HUMAK offers courses in English in the fields of Civic Activities and Youth Work and Cultural Management. Application deadline for the Autumn Term is May 15th 2009 to courses in Civic Activities and Youth Work and April 15th 2009 in Cultural Management.

ACT & CHANGE - A handbook inspired by Augusto Boal for using culture for yourselves.

The Minerva Project, An Educational Dimension of Conflict Resolution Through Cultural Production, resulted in a range of experiences. In this project HUMAK worked together with its partners from 7 European countries. Act & Change handbook gives you some examples of how different art forms can be applied to situations of social injustice were collected to a virtual handbook.
